WOW!  Thanksgiving week already!  I know someone we need to thankful for here at Bake Me a Wish!  YOU!  That’s why we’re going to give away a Thanksgiving cake to one of our lucky readers.  All you have to do is post a thanksgiving memory here on our blog, we’ll choose our favorite one and have a cake arrive to that person on Wednesday!  HURRY THOUGH!  We have to decide on a winner by NOON tomorrow (post your memory by Tues, 11/23 at noon).  You’ll get to select the cake flavor of your choice!

So what’s your favorite memory from Thanksgiving!?  Personally, I’ll never forget the last time my grandmother was with us for Thanksgiving – it was a “nothing special” Thanksgiving that turned out to be very dear to my heart.   I miss you and am thankful to have known you Gran!

“I received the Chocolate Mousse Torte Cake to review. It was absolutely amazing! I am an extreme chocolate lover, so this was an excellent surprise. This moist chocolate cake was layered with chocolate mousse, covered in chocolate frosting and a dark chocolate glaze. There were chocolate rosettes on each slice and an edible belgian chocolate “Thank You” plaque was right on top. It came in refrigerated packaging and was ready to eat! We waited, we had not eaten dinner yet…”

As weathers cool, leaves change and kids are back in school, I’m reminded of the wonderful memories I have of the autumn season. I recall seeing friends again after a summer away & the haunted houses we’d go to. As a younger child, it meant hay rides, apple orchards, cider and caramel apples. It’s interesting that September seems more a fresh start for me then, say, new years. In my mind, this is the start of new beginnings and old comfort.

As a salute to fall, I want to give away to one of our readers a Caramel Apple Crumb cake – the perfect cake for an autumn breakfast (or late night treat!).
