How to Send a Cake to a Deployed Soldier

Sending a birthday cake to a deployed soldier is a great way to show him or her your love and appreciation for their hard work and sacrifice. And it’s a lot easier to send a birthday cake to a deployed soldier than you might think.

All you have to do is visit this page, choose your soldier’s favorite cake flavor, select your preferred date of delivery and we’ll send the birthday cake to your deployed soldier as quickly as possible.

Each cake is packaged to ensure freshness and includes a card and plaque to mark the occasion. Even if it’s not your deployed soldier’s birthday, you can choose from a number of other occasions like:

  • Father’s Day
  • Happy Anniversary
  • Love
  • Thank You
  • And more!

In addition, 5% of your order will be contributed to Bake Me A Wish!’s Operation: Birthday Cake which donates birthday cakes each month, with our partner Soldiers’ Angels, to deployed military overseas.

Let your deployed son, daughter, husband, wife or friend know that you’re thinking about them on their special day with a gourmet birthday cake from Bake Me A Wish!

Love of Chocolate Event Honors Families of Deployed Soldiers

Thursday, February 23rd, 2012

This past weekend, Bake Me A Wish! had the pleasure of honoring families of deployed service members at the “Love of Chocolate” party in North Dakota in coordination with our good friend, Shelle Michaels, National Communications Officer for Soldiers Angels. Shelle has been a great ally in our effort to show deployed service members that they are not forgotten by us at home through our Operation Birthday Cake Program. The event was also brought together with Colonel Michael and was attended by David Sprynczynatyk, Major General and Adjunct General of the North Dakota National Guard as well as Lt. Governor Drew Wrigley.

This year, Bake Me A Wish was able to bring some additional smiles to the Love of Chocolate event as Bake Me A Wish cakes were handed out to family members deployed soldiers. Take a quick look at those faces below – happy to have some chocolate and know that we’re working to support their family members overseas.

Ooo – a tip of the hat from the Huffington Post for our Operation: Birthday Cake program! :) Lest we forget, our military personnel are still stationed away from loved ones around the world – we’re happy that we can bring a little joy to some of them on their birthday. With your help, we’ve delivered thousands of birthday cakes to soldiers overseas! Huffington Post – Bake Me A Wish! Gifts That Give Back

Honors from Iraq

Thursday, March 3rd, 2011

As you know, 5% of our online sales are attributed to our partnership with Soldiers Angels to provide gourmet birthday cakes to deployed service members overseas as part of our Operation Birthday Cake program.  To date, we’ve sent thousands of cakes either from retail purchases or direct donations made possible by our shoppers who simply sent a cake to a loved one for their birthday.  Each and every day we receive soldier responses about how we’ve helped boost morale while our military personnel are fighting for our freedoms so far from home.

Today, we received a fine honor from Cpt. Dan over at the 14th Trans. Battalion at the Joint Base Balad, Iraq.  There is no greater feeling than to receive recognition for the good works you are doing; this wonderful command team encourages to keep on sending cakes and keep on letting our service members know they are appreciated and valued by their citizens back at home.

The Chirstmas Spirit Giveaway

Thursday, December 16th, 2010

As I get older, I find it harder and harder to get in the Christmas spirit – something that I’m sure is shared by many others out there. I was watching the most recent episode of Glee (guilty pleasure!) and Mr. Schuester, played by Matthew Morrison, summed up this feeling in a very elegant way (I’ll paraphrase in a very non-elegant fashion). When we’re young, there is a lot of magic about the holiday – Santa Claus, the Tree, Decorations, Presents… but as we move past adolescence into adult hood, we outgrow the sensation of the holiday. That magical feeling disappears – maybe we feel we’re too big to enjoy in the childhood experience. Too often, along with that loss, we forget the importance and meaning of Christmas. As we become middle aged, we’d do anything – almost anything – to get that feeling back and remember what it is like to fully be in the Christmas Spirit.

As we all know – the true meanings behind Christmas should be felt year round – kindness, good will to our fellow women and men and most of all, giving of ourselves. But if we have trouble finding those meanings – in the midst of the holiday season, no less – then it becomes very difficult to carry that with us throughout the year.

We’d like to help everyone get in the Christmas Spirit this year. We’re going to give away Three Christmas Cake Party Packs (three gifts symbolizes something! :) ) to three of our readers, customers or fans who share with all of us either a photo of their holiday decorations, a Christmas party photo, a fond memory about Christmas or a short piece of prose about what Christmas means to them. We’re also going to donate three birthday cakes to a soldier overseas in the names of our three winners through our Operation: Birthday Cake program!

We’d love to see and hear what gets you in the spirit and hope that through our shared experiences, we can make that feeling stronger and help it last through out the year.

THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT GIVEAWAY!

WHAT TO DO:
* Post a photo on our FACEBOOK FAN PAGE with your holiday decorations or at a Christmas party with friends and family
* Comment on this post with a memory about Christmas, or write about what Christmas means to you
* Enter as often as you’d like with those rules!

WHAT YOU CAN WIN:
* We’ll give away 3 Christmas Party Packs – each pack will include 4 of our 7″ gourmet brownie cakes to serve to friends and family for the holidays: Chocolate Mint Chip, Caramel & Pecans, Cookies & Cream and a Triple Mochachino Brownie. PLUS, we’ll put the three winners names on our donation list and send birthday cakes to soldiers serving overseas on their behalf. Give & receive!

DEADLINE: All entries must be submitted by Monday, 12/20 at 5pm so that we can process the winners and send out party packs in time for Christmas.

HOW WE’LL DECIDE: It will be tough to say one memory or photo is better than the other – Christmas isn’t about competition. Each entry will be assigned a number based on time of entry and we’ll use RANDOM.org to select the 3 winners from all valid entries.

Thanks for reading and we hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season!

Remember Our Veterans

Thursday, November 11th, 2010

Bake Me A Wish! would like to take a moment to remind everyone that the Freedom we enjoy came at a price; a sincere thank you and warmest blessings to our military personnel from yesterday, today and tomorrow. Through them, we have piece of mind and live in the best country in the world.

Our company contributes 5% of it’s online revenue to sending gourmet birthday and holiday cakes to deployed soldiers overseas – we shouldn’t need a single day to remind us of their efforts. To be sure, they are in our thoughts and prayers everyday.

Please view this video about the work we’re doing with Soldiers’ Angels to ensure that our military men and women are remembered and appreciated throughout the year.
