My husband deserves this cake! He is truly a remarkable person who has beaten incredible odds after being in a 4 wheeler accident 4 years ago. A chain along a property line was hidden with the brush and he ran right into it, the chain not only split his chin open but it also severely injured his neck. Doctors said another 1/8" and his aorta would have been severed. We got married a year after this terrible accident and have since had our beautiful baby girl (7 months). We decided the best thing for our family would be for me to stay home with her, but doing so meant he would have to give up his passion for speed (along with the 4-wheeler, he races boats, so he sold all his toys and I quit my job.

My wonderful husband works 12 to 14 hours a day and has a smile on his face when he gets home and thanks me for working hard.

He loves sweets and I would love it if he could win this cake

Thank you so much!

I am blessed with a truly amazing Dad. My father is the most selfless and compassionate person you will ever meet. Growing up he made us feel like everything was a cause for celebration from family dinners to bed time hour. A father is someone who is always on your side, someone who reassures you and encourages you. A father takes pride in what you do and makes his time your time. It is because my father had such unconditional love for me, I was to chase my dreams and live my passion. My dad deserves to be Father of the Year because he has taught me the value of family and the importance of strong morals and values. He brightens my day and gives me quiet strength. He loves and accepts me for who I am and who I have become. I do not need a day to recognize or honor my father, I do it everyday

My dad deserves this cake for Father's Day and I'll explain why. In 1980 my mom and dad moved from North Dakota to a little town called Hood River, Oregon and my dad became the Hood River Community Education Director, a position he kept for 30 years until he retired last year.

In his 30 years he truly became a hometown hero, and his name is synonymous with Hood River and Community Education. He created many different programs from youth basketball, soccer and summer day camps to hundreds of community classes and trips for children, adults, and senior citizens alike. He created two programs, Movies in the Park, a free local event where movies are played on a giant inflatable big screen in Jackson Park on Saturdays throughout the summer and Families in the Park, a free concert series for families every Thursday in August. In his last few months as Community Education Director, articles and letters swarmed into the Hood River News about how my father had changed their lives and allowed them the opportunities they could only dream of. The town honored him at the last Families in Park concert last year by renaming the Jackson Park stage, "The Mike Schend Stage". Even in his retirement he has not slowed. He sits on 7 local Board of Directors and spearheaded the local campaign to save the County Library this past spring. My father was and is not only the greatest father to me, not missing a beat in my life, but also devoting countless hours to not only supporting my dreams and goals, but supporting the dreams of thousands of individuals in our community.
The most humble individual I know, for everyone my father has done for my mother, my sister, me and countless strangers he deserves so much more than a cake, but I would love to honor him in this way. It is my WISH that he wins this cake, and even if he doesn't I could not be more proud to call this man my father than if he was the President of the United States. I truly feel that I am the luckiest daughter in the world. Thank you.

My husband, who is my son's StepDad, is not only a wonderful Father, but a wonderful husband, friend, and soldier. He is in the Army and is currently on his second deployment and is stationed in Iraq. This is his first Father's Day as a "Dad" and while he can't be home for it he still deserves so much more than we could ever give him. He is such a great soldier and an outstanding mentor and positive influence on my son. Whether it be teaching him how to cook, gardening, learning how to ride a bike, "guy stuff" lol and more, he has been there for him and will ALWAYS be there for him.
We are so blessed to have him in our lives and we love and miss him more than anyone could ever imagine.

My children's father deserves a cake because of his many sacrifices he has made for our family over the years. Since his enlistment date, four years ago, he has deployed twice. In four years he has missed over 2 years of our lives. He missed the birth of our daughter, Bailey and our son's 5,6, and 7th birthdays. First steps and words, Anniversaries, Valentine's, Christmases, and last days of School are only a few of the things he has missed for his career choice. In four years, he made his SSG rank by determination and dedication to Army and Family. I admire his ability to sacrifice absence for our freedoms and safety. He is a hero to both his children and myself! Please send him a cake this Father's day!

My step-dad definitely deserves it. I was a wild child growing up and my step-dad was the only person who put his foot down and tried to discipline me. The only reason I say tried is because I decided I wanted to move back in with my grandparents and my mom let me. So after that he really was not able to be the authorative parent figure. Shortly after my mom and he divorced. That was about 16 years ago and I am happy to say that my step-dad is still a part of my life and I know that if I need something all I have to do is give him a call and he would help me in anyway that he could. He considers himself my daughter's grandfather (even though he has a little one 1 year younger than Brea. lol).
I have never thanked him for standing up to me and trying to be the parent that I so desperately needed. Who knew that years later the same act that almost made our relationship impossible when I was a teenager would be the same reason I have so much respect for him now.

My dad deserves it. When I was growing up, he was in the Navy, so he frequently was out to sea. He didn't get to celebrate many holidays with us since he was gone. After he left the Navy, he had jobs that took required him to travel a lot. And once again, he missed out on the holidays. So, I'd love to win this for him so that he knows even though he was gone a lot, he was (and still is) loved very much, and all the hard work and sacrifice was (and still is) very appreciated.
