Even Leathernecks love our cakes!

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

I recently received a delicious chocolate cake from my girlfriend through your company. I was a little apprehensive at first about eating a cake that spent a couple days flying in the belly of an aircraft across the Atlantic. Well, let me tell you, this thing was delicious. I couldn’t believe that it was still moist in the middle. I would like to thank you for taking the time to remember those of us who are serving our grateful Nation abroad. We are truly thankful for your patriotism. The attached pictures were taken on my Birthday on August 24. The Marines in the pictures have been in Al Asad, Iraq since January 2009. Thanks again.

But that’s just what this 55-year-old actress and former dancer from Teaneck is doing: turning a much-loved recipe for apple cakes into a moneymaker that can help save her home of nearly 20 years.

In these lean economic times, acting jobs are scarce, and Logan’s usual standby, substitute teaching, has also been hard to find. A string of unforeseeable events, including a botched construction job on her home and the sudden closure of one of her talent agencies, left her struggling to pay her mortgage.

Finally – An Upbeat Economic Article (sort of)

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

Despite a seemingly ever-declining market and a tumultuous economy, there finally seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel: Economists see deeper pain, followed by gain, As Marie Antionette said, “Let them eat cake!”. I don’t know that we exactly agree with her sentiment, but our gifts definitely remain affordable! Thanks for reading our blog and shopping Bake Me A Wish!  The next few months will be difficult folks, but we’re gonna hang in there with you.
