A BOREN HERO

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

Tim Boren celebrates his birthday overseas – thanks to his lovely wife Tiffany – read all about it!img_7888

“Well, Tiffany really outdid herself this time. Evidently she has been emailing my commander to plan a Birthday Party for me. After I got home from flying for the day, my commander’s husband (he is also deployed with us) come by and asked me to come over to their room. I figured he was up to something, so I told him no, I don’t think I want to come over, and then I gave my roommate a knowing wink…. They all sang Happy Birthday to me, helped me eat the cake (yes, she got a cake to us) and watched me open my presents.”

A Reason To Celebrate in Iraq

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

I recently received one of your cakes for my birthday that a family friend ordered for me and wanted to send you a picture of our mini-celebration. The cake arrived in great condition and we devoured it that same day!

I’d also like to reciprocate by giving thanks to you and your company’s employees (along with Soldier’s Angels) for your dedicated service to the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces. You guys don’t have to do this for us yet you do and all of us out here really appreciate your efforts.

Keep baking those cakes and thanks again!

A Successful Birthday in Baghdad

Monday, September 28th, 2009

Thank you very much for what you do in support of the troops.  The cake is very good and a few of my friends got to enjoy it with me.   Thank you very much for everything.  I live in Baghdad at the Victory Base Complex so its not to fancy where we stay at but it is better than being in tents.

Even Leathernecks love our cakes!

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

I recently received a delicious chocolate cake from my girlfriend through your company. I was a little apprehensive at first about eating a cake that spent a couple days flying in the belly of an aircraft across the Atlantic. Well, let me tell you, this thing was delicious. I couldn’t believe that it was still moist in the middle. I would like to thank you for taking the time to remember those of us who are serving our grateful Nation abroad. We are truly thankful for your patriotism. The attached pictures were taken on my Birthday on August 24. The Marines in the pictures have been in Al Asad, Iraq since January 2009. Thanks again.
