FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MAY 13th, 2019 (NEW YORK, NY) - Bake Me A Wish! is proud to announce a new partnership with the Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) as part of its goodwill efforts. The ASYMCA is the oldest military service organization in the U.S. and supports not only active military service members, but their families as well. Their slogan is “Strengthening Our Military Family”, and the organization has a special focus on military children.  The ASYMCA has numerous programs, and one highlight is they provide summer camps for military children who otherwise would not have the opportunity to attend. Known as Operation Camp, this gives the children a chance to enjoy the outdoors and make friends with others with similar backgrounds.

Having a parent who is a service member is a difficult and unique experience for a child. Through Operation Camp, youngsters can learn social skills and coping mechanisms to help them process their emotions. The program also helps them gain confidence and develop relationships with people their own age who are also experiencing their loved one being far away. The children benefit from being outdoors and their time at camp leaves a lasting impact.

Bake Me A Wish! has begun fundraising to help send children to camp; the company is proud to partner with ASYMCA and help these youths make memories they will cherish forever.
